Kongfujia Group was constituted on the base of the former Qufu Wine Factory whose fore-body is the family wine-distillery of Confucian Mansion. According to the recordation of epigraphs and classical works, the wines produced by the distillery were prepared especially for the emperors, high officials, relatives and friends, and for themselves. During the years of Qing dynasty, the Emperor QianLong came to Confucian Mansion. After tasting the wine, he greatly satisfied with it, and immediately issued an order to free Qufu from all taxes and duties except for tributes of this delicious wine and Xiguan lamb, which left a much-told story of "Delicious Wine and Lamb". The family wine-distillery of Confucian Mansion was taken back as the state-owned one and renamed as "Jiuhecheng" in the early days of the establishment of our Country. In 1958 it was renamed as Qufu Wine Factory and transformed to "Qufu Kongfujia Group General Company" in 1994. Four years later, the company carried out its standardized reconstruction and then "Shandong Kongfujia Group Co., Ltd " was established. At present, the company has the capital assets of RMB 0.58 billion with annual capacity of 35000 tons of high-quality wine.

 

The main products of Kongfujia Group are five series of Kongfujia Tianciyaxiang(Light Fragrance), Shengshi(Prosperity), Jingdian(Classic), Shuijing(Crystal), Datao(Ceramic), which are divided into 60 kinds of its high, middle and low degrees. This product structure of high, middle and low grades can meet the various demands of different consumers. Kongfujia Wine has won the "Silver Award" of the Nation for its unique style of "Three-right"(the right smell, the right taste and the right wine-body) and "Three- aroma" (smelling aroma, tasting aroma and after-tasting aroma) along with the elegant packages in the 1987 National Wine Comparison.

 

With the efforts of developing the market outside, strengthening its management inside and accelerating its high-level managerial skills, Kongfujia Group has made quite a lot of progress. It passed IS09001 and IS014001 quality/environment system authentications and became the first company of the same profession which has got both authentications in Shangdong.

 

For seeking further development, Kongfujia Group mapped out the leading quality standard after the combinations with Wanji Group in Shenzhen and employed four national famous brewers, leading by Shen. Yifang, as the technical directors in the extrusion of distillery yeast, pug production, brewing and research & development.
